Artist Statement
My work is an exploration of the unseen beauty that emerges in the face of adversity. I am fascinated by the resilience of nature and its ability to thrive in darkness, which I often represent through the imagery of mushrooms—quiet yet powerful symbols of growth in harsh environments. This metaphor extends to my personal journey, as I’ve found strength and creativity through life’s challenges.
I create built whimsical spaces that combine the structural logic of my architectural background with the emotional depth of art. Each piece is designed to evoke curiosity, mystery, and transformation, inviting the viewer to reflect on the ways we navigate and reconstruct our internal and external worlds. My process often involves layering textures and materials to create depth, reflecting the complexity of the human experience.
Through painting, mixed media, and immersive installations, I aim to bridge imagination and reality, crafting spaces where stories of growth, resilience, and wonder unfold. My work is not just about creating beautiful forms; it is about encouraging others to find light in the darkness and discover the unexpected potential within themselves and the world around them.
